Pours a ever so slightly hazy golden color with a creamy egg shell colored head that laces the glass like Velcro. Very nice citrus notes (primarily tangerine) and resiny pine notes on the nose. This is not your father’s Transient IPA.
The tangerine flavor is forward, with the resiny pine flavor providing a nice bitterness, and there’s a subtle caramalt flavor on the finish. Absolutely delicious.
The mouthfeel is crisp and very dry, in the WCIPA (or MWCIPA, per the can) style. I hope Transient ventures further out into this style, instead of focusing solely on the hazies, because they nailed this, IMHO.
