A - Pours a motor oil black with a two finger foamy tan head. The head fades into a thin ring leaving some light clingy lacing.

S - Aroma is cinnamon, caramel, dark chocolate and spicy rye.

T - The taste is dark chocolate, caramel, cinnamon, vanilla and some spicy rye in the finish.

M - Full body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a slick dry finish.

O - Really nice adjunct stout. Extremely easy drinking for 12.5%.

This is a nice variant. Mulling spices tamp down the aggressive nature of the rye barrel, making for a delicious and complex, but well rounded taste.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours motor oil black with a solid couple of inches of head. Pours very viscous - I can almost hear the glug, glug, glug.

The nose is fantastic. Cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, chocolate, caramel, and some roasted malts. Dark fruit makes its appearance as well. A slight maple note as well.

The taste is quite sweet. Salted caramel, vanilla, dark chocolate, red grapes, maple candy, brown sugar, a touch of toasted coconut, and plums. The sweetness does drop a bit as the sips go by.

Mouthfeel is VERY thick and creamy. This is in that category of very viscous pastry stouts. Overall, a really nice beer to try but probably a bit on the sweet side for an everyday type of beer.
