Pours thick, inky black with no way for any light to penetrate this beer, and there’s a minimal dark tan head that decides to flee the scene to allow the sniffing and tasting to proceed without interruption.

The features a nice amount of booze (shocker I know for a 3-year BA impy stout) that is oaky, with a lot of rich milk chocolate and maple notes as well, and maybe a smidge of roasty coffee. Salivating.

The milk chocolate, bourbon, and oak flavors are forward and truly delicious, with a surprising little stone fruit kiss joining the roasty coffee note at the back of the palate.

What is also surprising is the lack of booziness - this drinks really smooth, with the full, creamy mouthfeel masking all signs of alcohol. This is world class, IMHO.
