Transient does quite a few Czech style Pilsners and I have strived to try at least all the dark ones so I picked up a 4 pack at the brewery last weekend.
Poured like a flat cola but sported a tall beige head which left sheets of lacing.
The taste started off heavy on the grassy hops but settled down nicely. The Edelweiss malt lends a sweetness that I don’t normally get in these, and it isn’t out of place somehow.
The feel is quite appropriate for the style, not too much, not too little.
OA, another tasty offering from Transient.

Poured a very dark brown yet clear color, opaque in the glass; crowned with a thick, dense, light khaki colored head, long lasting. Fine dark malt aroma, mildly sweet with cocoa-like tones; mocha. Beautiful flavor, rich and gently sweet; light milk chocolate; moderate, rounded bitterness balancing the sweetness; a touch of vanilla; grain char bitterness. Medium body; silky smooth with the residual sugars.
A nice, well-rounded beer and a beautiful take on a classic dark lager style.

Pours a dark cola brown from the can and settles black in the glass with a creamy tan head that caps the beer as you drink it and coats the glass with lacing. Beautiful beer.
The nose has a nice amount of grassy hop aromas, courtesy of the noble hops, but it is the wheat bread and roasty malt aromas that make this beer sing. I am officially drooling.
The grassy hops are forward on the taste, and blend exceptionally well with the wheat bread, roasty coffee, and subtle toffee flavors that guide this beer into a rich yet surprisingly crisp mouthfeel.
I could bathe in this beer. Really well done by Transient.
