500 ml bottle into a snifter. A 2023 release, had 8/23/24.
Pours near black and opaque, with a quarter inch quickly dissipating foamy head and no lacing. Aromas of vanilla, bourbon, malt, chocolate, light oak, a little maple. The flavors are the same: vanilla, bourbon, malt, chocolate, light oak, a little maple. Smooth, a very good fuller body that’s noticeably lighter and thinner for a Neckbeard entry, appropriately carbonated.
This one is best fully warmed. The vanilla is dominant and tasty, and the barrels have a pretty solid presence, too. Not much maple though. Maybe it’s faded after the 9 months or so. Overall, this was very enjoyable.
