PREFACE: This review is of F---- The Mother of All Stouts (Egg Nog '25). Same brew as T.M.O.A.S (Egg Nog '24).
L = It has no head, ZERO, almost nothing...a wisp of sticky lacing... but the body is the deepest, darkest black brown quagmire possible, which usually means pulpy organic goodness... promising!
S = Bourbon, vanilla, cocoanut, cream, cinnamon, nutmeg and/or cloves. Smells like bourbon infused egg nog, even though it looks like 10w30 Quaker State.
T = DAMN this is good tasting stuff! Bourbon, milk solids, cream, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon. The milk solids taste is recognized from my years working the Dairy Industry. It is the only thing keeping taste from a 4.75.
F = Sticky, as expected, with an 11.6 ABV, bourbon, and ice cream powder. Not as sticky as Quaker State 10w30.
O = Wonderfully decadent taste. I wish they could clean up the cocoanut processed cream taste of the ice cream powder, but I expect any other high milkfat ingredient would push the cost into the stratosphere. I'll settle and drink this as it is, which is highly enjoyable.
