The pour is dark, not quite stout black but close. Mahogany brown highlights when back lit and a tan head that wouldn't quit.
The taste, for a DDH beer, has little discernible hops flavor or bitterness, but a healthy dose of roastyness* which may be the DDH, no idea. A nice layer of malts makes it Mid West Balanced.
The feel is full but crisp; very easy drinking beer.
OA, I am a huge fan of a good Schwarzbier, and appreciate many black IPAs, this one included.
