Appearance - The beer was slick black in appearance with reddish brown bubbles topping the snifter.

Smell - Cinnamon notes were strong with an overall general sweetness.

Taste - The initial taste was smooth chocolate before the amburana awakened. Strong cinnamon notes combines with the chocolate with a great sense of balance. Vanilla notes were more apparent than the maple. The alcohol bit at the finish was a little abrasive.

Mouthfeel - The body was soft and smooth. It coated the tongue leaving a slight burn with the spice.

Overall - The ABV on this beast is a little higher than I like, but I cannot argue with the taste profile.
