Popped this one open thinking it was the “regular” Canuckley but it wasn’t the same ABV, so I looked closer.
Didn’t know this existed and here I am drinking one.
The pour is typical Transient barrel aged imperial pastry stout (do they make anything else barrel aged?) Used (and filtered) old oil black with the dark brown head that dissipates quickly and leaves no lacing.
The taste is flat out amazing. Curiously it starts with caramel.
Then a rapidly progressed through coffee and chocolate and maple syrup and then bourbon in the swallow.
The feel is about what every Transient barrel aged imperial pastry stout (of which they make a metric ton of) - viscous on the verge syrup.
Good beer.
