A very pleasant maple oak and light citrus aroma the appearance is a dark but clean mahogany color with a wispy white head that settles to an even ring and impressive spider web lacing. The flavor is terrific with cedar-like ideas, sort of a minty oak with hints of moxie and root beer. Sweet without cloying, some charred wood slight nuttiness. There is a definite citrus hop that bites through but it blends well with the woodsy theme. It's barleywine-like but reasonably drinkable with a relatively thin feel and light carbonation. Best beer I've had from B&B, a real winner in my book, a classy brew.
