I have been to this location on several occasions and have found it to be a consistently good chain restaurant. They have about twenty beers on tap, a decent selection and variety just don't expect to find any WOW beers here. The food is good, we usually share a bunch of apps like crab fries, nachos and mussels (which are surprisingly good for a chain restaurant) and grab a few beers. Great place to watch a game as televisions are plentiful. The service is good for the most part but can be lacking during busy times like an Eagles game.

Chickie's & Pete's Crab House and Sports Bar is a chain of restaurants based in Philadelphia, PA. There are at least 10 locations now, but the first one started in Mayfair right around the corner from The Grey Lodge. They're famous for their "Crab Fries" which are basically fries with Old Bay seasoning on them (although there's a little more to the spice than that). The stores are all pretty similar looking except for the first one, and the casinos and airport locations, but they're nicely appointed, and comfortable. More important, the service is generally very good - at least better than most chain restaurants. They've done a good job.
All of the locations have a fairly decent selection of beer, but that's common these days. The South Philly store has 19 taps, and their house beer is made by Victory. Some common brands are Yards, Sierra Nevada, Flying Fish, Goose Island, and Sly Fox. Don't expect anything rare or unusual, it's a sports bar/restaurant first and foremost.
So, overall I'd recommend Chickie's & Pete's, but it's not what I'd call a "beer bar" by any means.

Rained out Phillies game, went here and had the Mussels (white wine & Garlic) and a couple of local brews by Victory. Got a lot of Mussels... a lot more than I expected and they were good. In a large bowl like a soup in the garlic and butter sauce- tons of garlic. Others at my table had the Red sauce which was a marinara poured over the Mussels. The beer was good and the food was what we expected. Had an appetizer of cheese fries and hot shrimp (which was peel and eat). The atmosphere is Philly sports bar, it was big, clean and dark. Full of people... Bathrooms were big and clean as well.... Nice restaurant, good food and a decent selection of beer...
