Calling itself a "colonial porter", I was told that Nightmare Before Halloween was indeed a nightmare to mash. As a result, this may be the one chance to try it, so here I go. On-tap at the source, on to the beer:
Half an inch of head rests above this obsidian liquid, while webbed lacing sticks around the glass. This beer is nicely aromatic, as smokey and dark chocolate notes takes my nostrils on a joyride. Even my palate goes on the joyride, and one could argue an even better joyride. Light notes of rip banana plays along the dark chocolate, smoke, smoked meat, yielding for a pleasurable flavor that leaves a tastes of brownies in the aftertaste. This ale is low carb.....onted, medium full bodied, and well worth throwing an extra two bucks over other listed beers for a pint at the taproom. Delightful!
