Cloud 9 Brewery

Always a great visit in my opinion, they do the best they can with location (right in a strip mall) but the vibe of the place is still good. For a nano, they always have a great selection across the board from light to dark, hoppy to non, with outlying categories like Irish stouts, Dark lagers and Euro Pilsners represented, and I've never had a "bad" or poorly-executed brew from here. The place has a good feel from its employees and servers as well, they seem to recognize the value of good customer service in a place so small. REALLY good food as well, we love their starters, cheese boards, street tacos, burgers, etc. They also brew their own sodas (root beer & ginger ale) and offer growler fills and out-of-the-ordinary to-go containers like mason jars and wine bags. Would heartily recommend.

this place was bustling on a weeknight, totally packed at the bar, almost all the tables full, and even the other side from the bar was full, really happening place! they have a number of cool beers on tap, and it was hard to choose between them. i ended up with a honey basil ale that was really light, but showcased both ingredients well, and a 9 grain porter that brought something new to a sometimes samey style, both were excellent, i wish i had time for more than two! the place is cool, narrow bar side and a wider restaurant area adjacent to it, a strip mall location but its cool and cozy inside. i also had a sandwich in here that was real solid, tasted homemade, and was a nice portion for the price. the rest of the food coming out looked pretty good too, ill likely go back and eat next time as well. the server was awesome for how busy they were, very attentive, impressively so even, and he really enhanced my experience. i also met some cool locals in here as well, everyone so kind and friendly. this is definitely a little bit under the radar it seems like with all the cool breweries in town here in boise, but its close to everything, and well worth checking out if you havent been. great beer, clever too, awesome service, and tasty food. ill be back for sure.

edit: my second visit was awesome too, the beer continues to be interesting and delicious, and the food is well above average, this will be a regular now in my brewery visiting rotation here in boise! killer spot.

I visited Cloud 9 while in Boise recently, and had a great time. Service was good, and I had a long chat with the bartender about Boise beer specifically and Northwest beer in general. They had 12 beers on tap; 6 flagship and 6 rotation, with a mix of styles. I liked the salted caramel stout; it's definitely worth another visit.

 

Nice new neighborhood brewpub, local ingredients and food. All small batch beers. Homey and comfortable. Due to its tiny interior, it can be difficult to get seats at times.
