Nice mahogany brown color with a fingernail of brown on top. There's no mistaking that dark roasted coffee aroma, but I'm also getting chocolate and caramel. The taste is coffee forward with milk chocolate, caramel, and light malt in play. The mouth is very delicate and quaffable. If you wanted a sessionable coffee beer this is recommended.

Pours a foggy brown with a finger of khaki head. Head retention was poor despite a foamy head. Very little lacing. Aroma is coffee, with a little caramel and bitterness. Coffee note is nice, with just the right touch. It refrains from being overpowering, or over roasted. Flavor profile still features coffee, just toned down. Bitter malts smooth out the simplistic flavor profile. Mouth feel is slippery/oily, and smooth, with a medium-thin thickness. Overall, a great beer. The coffee notes are nice, and still give the base beer plenty of room to shine.

This was the first firkin at Logboat's Official Grand Opening. Brewed with a coffee from a new roaster in Columbia - Fretboard Coffee. It had the same pale, golden color of the regular Mamoot, but it has a wonderful coffee aroma. It just smelled like a good cup of coffee. The coffee flavor was not as strong as the aroma, but still very present in the beer. Mild bitter hoppiness and a touch of sweet caramel. It's a smooth, easy drinking brew. This one might need to find its way into the regular rotation at Logboat. Well done!
