Black colored ale with a small tan colored head that doesn't last long.
Smells of carrots. Lots of patent malt and high hop levels produces the smell of carrots.
Starts out heavy on the patent malt. Malt char is the primary flavor. Tastes of carrot like the smell. Despite the strong hop scent this isn't that bitter.
Mouthfeel is good.
Overall drinkable but......yeah nothing to seek out.
I picked up this sample at the Great American Eclipse August 21st 2017. We drank Oskar Blues Ten Fidy at the eclipse.

I first had this brew during the great eclipse, in my backyard. However, this review is from a second can, a few days later. The appearance is utterly black, with a creamy, chocolate milk colored head. The smell is of roasted coffee and grain, with maybe a hint of herbal hop. The taste has more coffee, along with a smoke and roast note. It dries out in the mid-taste, and finishes notably dry. Good.

Poured out a semi-opaque, black color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. Slight smoky taste with mild coffee and dark chocolate.
