Pours a cloudy maize color. 1/2 inch head of a white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of liquor, sweet malt, slight pale malt, and a hint of citrus. Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of liquor, sweet malt, slight pale malt, dough, hint of yeast, lime, and a hint of citrus. Overall, good blend, complexity, and body. The aroma is muted in comparison and the lime is distracting.

a tequila barrel aged pale beer with citrus zest, something quite different, subtle in the right ways, and making sense probably around cinco de mayo time. hazy fluffy light brassy orange color with a thick and tall white head from the tap, lasting lace and a cool aroma of fresh squeezed limes, bitter grapefruit, wet oak, and rich agave and tequila. its sweet to me in the nose, but its a natural sort of sweetness and it brings up the malt in a beer where the grain element could be easily overlooked otherwise, smart. the lime is in front of the grapefruit in the flavor for sure, but both are there, summery and rather cocktail-esque here. the tequila is obvious in the flavor, classic reposado character, but its not over the top at all, and its well integrated into the fuller bodied complex brew, not too much for my palate at all, very distinctive though. carbonation is high, which i think is an absolute necessity here, and the sweetness turns to citric bitterness at the end, finishing brisk for what it is. the oak is mellowing and unifying here, the tequila flavor is awesome, and while i dont want to drink a ton of this, its an easy beer to appreciate as unique and fun. logboat always does me right!

Gold in color with a moderate haziness. There's a half inch of off white. I smell lime and tequila. I'm tasting plenty of lime, tequila, and acidic grapefruit. The mouth is aggressively acidic, dry, and straightforward.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden-orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of sweet tropical fruit and hints of tequila. Nice fruity bite with a piney bite. Subtle tequila notes.
