12 oz can, canned on 9/2/20, into EBC Teku.
Has a somewhat transparent straw-gold color with a creamy cap of 3 fingers, leaving tons of lace as it recedes to a finger and a half.
Aroma is pipe bowl - lots of burnt cannabis - with some pleasant bright effervescent fruity notes behind it. Grapefruit, melon, strawberry, honey malt.
Flavor is again, cannabis-forward, perhaps I should have known with a name like "Chino" - a play on Cheech and Chong. After the cannabis I get some pine, honey, toasted caramel, grapefruit, and lemon rind. There is a hint of starfruit on the finish. Cannabis lingers.
Feel is busy with carbonation, a bit sticky, clingy, resiny. Nearly zero alcohol here, which at 6% is pretty impressive.
Overall, definitely not something I'm likely to return to. I can't remember when I got this, I know it was one of my last choices as I grabbed it simply to have one more beer to keep me reviewing without throwing money at our sad distribution. (But it must have been in Missouri, so last beer I bought before Tennessee?) Anyway, not a great contender, maybe slightly better than most beers here, but it reminds me of 90 day old Furious anyway. The cannabis hit me right away and then I was like "makes sense". The text on the can really plays on the Cheech and Chong thing.
So if you like cannabis beers and old school west coast style IPAs, this would be your thing. I did not finish this one.
Price paid : $1.59 / can
Would buy again : no

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of pine, citrus, grapefruit and caramel. Bitter, piney bite with sweet toasted caramel. Dry finish.
