Poured from a cellared bottle at the brewery, this beer boasted a brilliant rich amber color, topped with a pure white foam head with incredible retention, lace, and stick. Fresh and complex hop aromas bring earth, wood, and herbal suggestions to the nose; thanks to the nine variety blend of hops grown at the Norwich Inn.

Body is slightly viscous, but so damn smooth and fluffy at the same time. Intricate sweet malt characters of caramel, toasted malts and breads. Alcohol is well-hidden. Hops are extremely balanced, lending an herbal tea-like flavor with a rounded leaf feel. Smooth and sweet lingering finish allows the mind to drift on this one.

An absolutely gorgeous English-style Barleywine, with a tremendous amount of balance and drinkability. One of the best I've ever had.
