On tap.
The appearance was a murky semi-dark brown color with a cap of a little white foamy head that slid off immediately. No lace.
The aroma had a nice blend of cocoa powder to Belgian sweet breadiness and then a light sugar content. Some red apples and a little bit of allspice came about nicely to blend.
The flavor was mainly sweet and seemed to barely touch on the spices that I noted in the aroma. Aftertaste was a murky sort of sweet Belgian sugariness.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied. It seemed to sit just a touch under and having a fair sipping sort of quality about it. Carbonation felt somewhat low but not distracting, no flaw. ABV felt appropriate and lead to a decent sort of smoothness to it.
Overall, I didn't mind this one for me, but did come off a bit sweeter than normal for the style. Me, I wouldn't mind a touch more "Belgian spice" just to present a better balance. Still, I'd have again.
