For this honey brown ale we ferment raw blossom and heather honeys to complement and add depth to darker roasted malts. A light hop bitterness finishes a flavoursome and unpasteurised brown ale.

Oct. 2020: 330 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Clear reddish amber colour, moderate white (or slightly off-white) head. Aroma of malts, honey and caramel, hints of brown bread. Smooth and soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. Smooth malty flavour with distinct notes of honey, hints of caramel and brown bread again. Minimal hops.

A clear dark brown color with a reddish tint. Small head that dissolves quickly. Strong malt on the nose. Taste malty and quite balanced at first, strong and long roasted aftertaste (from the roasted malt I guess) that I‘m not a fan of. Overall a beer with character but not for me.

Bottle at The Miller, London, England

A: The beer is crystal clear amber in color. It poured with a short white head that left a wide collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of honey are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of honey with additional notes of floral hops.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer smells and tastes just like honey but is very drinkable for a honey ale.
