500ml bottle at home, bought at Oak Tree Inn - Balmaha (£2.99):
Not a bad effort from the Loch Lomond brewery in the end, I didn't think this one started particularly well but it started to grow on me as I worked my way down the glass. I doubt it's one that will leave a lasting impression but it was enjoyable enough despite the fact I'm still not sure it is actually supposed to be a brown ale or not; I'll list it as that anyway though.

Perhaps some kind of brown ale rather than an English dark mild? Anyway I had some on cask at 'spoons in Helensburgh. Mahogany coulured beer with an offwhite head and and a toffee, coffee and red wine vinegar nose. Sweet and pleasant taste with a slight toffee tang and a touch of tobacco.
