This one was a real struggle for me to drink, the nose in particular was a strong and harsh one with a lot of smoke and ham notes but the taste initially didn't seem as strong, only for things to change on the way down with the malts giving way to more smoke and ham. Beyond that I found it hard to detect much of anything, the seemed to overpower the rest of the beer and I couldn't finish this one in the end sadly; it was that bad.

Pours amber, decent head
Peat smoke is the first thing in the aroma but it is not massively in your face. Touch of boiled sweets behind it, honey and some leather. It's really rather good and coherent.
Again peat smoke is the main component with the flavour, more sweetness that is easily balanced by the low bitterness and rather dry finish. Medium body. Simple flavour but good.
Very well done peated beer, which is a hard thing to do. Recommended. Although if you dislike peated whiskies, you will still probably dislike this.
