Too strong for me. Taste more like bourbon than beer. Two 12% is all Nash’s At City Harbor (Guntersville, AL) had.

Big thanks to richj1970 once again for another Southern treat
Pours like unfiltered apple juice with a quick to kick white head that leaves a bare cap when it departs.
Full aroma which is full of fruity apple and pear notes and a general sweet fruitiness that is surrounded and overpowered by strong bitter hop notes of grapefruit pith, and rooty herbal.
Full strength taste that is definitely a step away from classic tripel territory. It starts with bold bitter hop notes, tries to form a harmony with the fruity elements I.D.'ed in aroma, but fails. Quite hoppy for style, and it ends that way also, dry and bitter.
Low carb., med. viscosity, and full body for style. Finish is a bit rough, especially rated to style, but any way it's looked at the finish is harsh with a cling that builds unpleasantly.
Kind of a hybrid beer, not really a tripel, but not any of the hoppy ale styles either. I wish I could say this works, and recommend it, but I cannot. I would stay away from this'un folks.

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that did not leave any lace. The scent had hints of citrus and pine. The taste was nicely balanced...sweet vs alcohol. There was some Belgian flare. The Mouthfeel was fuller in body with subtle carbonation. Overall it's a great beer.
