12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, light honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, light honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light honey, bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Mildly increasing warmth of 9.2% after the finish. Overall this is an excellent DIPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV; with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Super vibrant, juicy, fruity, and tropical on hops; balancing malt backbone, but never sweet or heavy feeling. A really enjoyable offering.

New "session" DIPA from Pigeon Hill.

To be honest i expected way more.
Some hops at least. This is a malt bomb to the fullest.

Pours a slight murky straw yellow body with a decent white head that settles to a nice layer thru out.
Lacing is actually not bad. Loose soapy film.
Smells of of sweet caramel maltiness. Tiny hints of some citrus fruity hops. Nothing outstanding. A bit of grapefruit maybe? Hard to detect.
Taste is nothing of a DIPA. No hop bite. Not citrus fruits. No tangy sensation. Nothing but sugary sweetness. With maybe a minimal hop bit at the end that fades super quickly.
Surprisingly the 9.2% abv is well hidden and easily drinkable. Buzz comes quick.
Low carbonation. Small to medium body.
Its different thats for sure. Not a DIPA in my book tho. CHEERS
