Pigeon Hill S'more Beast In My Cup, 10% ABV. Pours black with a little finger of brown head that left no lacing. Nose is marshmallow, vanilla, and chocolate. Taste follows with a bit of roast on the marshmallow, graham, sweet with slight bitterness. They really pulled off the s'mores nose and taste. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding. Best s'mores beer I've had.

Pours a black color with a foamy tan head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, marshmallow and caramel. Taste is sweet because of the vanilla and marshmallow. Finish is slightly bitter.Good mouth feel.

Thulsa Doom

A rigorous hard center pour yields a 2 finger cap of creamy beige head on top of a solid black body.

Aroma is of roasted malt and burnt vanilla/marshmallows. Very crusty, very crispy. Faint fluff sweetness, whispers of coffee, hints of graham.

This comes together in a way I've never encountered in a marshmallow-based stout. It's incredibly melded, nothing seems fake or syrupy, and the coffee and bold roasted malt balance out the graham and vanilla sweetness. I get Golden Grahams, those little s'more marshmallows in the cereal, mild chocolate porter notes, bold roasted malt, and very faint trailing notes of hop balance (not bitterness). It's almost a touch too sweet but flirts with the line in a way I haven't experienced in awhile, I just can't decide if it's too sweet or not sweet enough.

Feel is creamy and smooth, with an uncommon hop resinousness with a slight slickness. Heavy bodied, definitely all 10% here in the thickness, and a moderate to heavy alcohol warmth. Belches come easy.

Overall, an impressive stout, a sipper for sure, not quite up to par with other more large barrel aged stuffs duh, but this stout is definitely a picker upper if you see it. Gotta try it once if you're into the pastry stouts. Cheers.

Pours black, nice ring of tan head. Nose is maple, coffee, vanilla. Very inviting. Taste is a bit more mellow- coffee, cola, vanilla, maple is in the background with some chocolate. Not too sweet. Mouthfeel is pretty carbed, full enough for the style.

12 ounce can into snifter, canned on 11/14/2018. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, marshmallow, vanilla, cream, nuts, graham cracker, toasted biscuit, and dark bread; with light notes of licorice, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, marshmallow, cocoa, graham cracker, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, marshmallow, vanilla, cream, nuts, graham cracker, toasted biscuit, and dark bread; with light notes of licorice, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/peppery hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, marshmallow, vanilla, cream, nuts, graham cracker, toasted biscuit, dark bread, light licorice/molasses, smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, marshmallow, cocoa, graham cracker, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with an awesome roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 10%. Overall this is a fantastic flavored imperial stout! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, marshmallow, cocoa, graham cracker, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the ABV, with the mellowly bitter/charred/drying finish. Amazing balance of rich malts, marshmallow, cocoa, and graham cracker flavorings; with nice earthy hop presence against sweetness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing dessert style example as expected.
