Ever met a crushable Double IPA? Now you have. We took our Renny “session” DIPA, added grapefruit, and turned it up to 11. The addition of Blood Orange pairs perfectly with the citrus aroma and flavors that come from the use of Amarillo and Simcoe hops. Warning: It’s way too drinkable.

Smother IPA with the taste of some fruit I can't put my finger on. Not Hoppy or bitter. Very Drinkable! This is an "In it to win it" type of beer. Based on a batch that was canned 8 months ago but still pretty good. Would buy again for one of those "in it to win it" type of nights. :)

It is definitely way too drinkable for the alcohol content! Gotta watch it with this one. Very smooth DIPA with alot of fruity notes. Very easy drinking. I'll be looking out for this one next summer.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 9/6/2019. Pours very hazy/cloudy deep golden/amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big blood orange juice, tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of blood orange, citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big blood orange juice, tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of blood orange juice, tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of blood orange, citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying, astringent, puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, and fairly acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Mild increasing warmth of 9.4% after the finish. Overall this is an awesome fruited DIPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of blood orange, citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the modestly bitter/tart/resinous/drying finish. Not overly aggressive. Awesome Simcoe, Amarillo profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops/fruit; with a nice sized bready malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected.
