22 oz. bottle, no bottled on date present. My first beer from Hailstorm Brewing Co., acquired a bottle from my local bottle shop; shared with my beautiful girlfriend.
Poured into a Big Eddy snifter.
A - Pours a thickish caramel body, good color for the style. One finger of frothy khaki head.
S - Aromas of caramel, wood, earth, mustiness. Aromas of dark fruits - raisins, prunes, figs.
T - Taste is the same: big hefty earthy bitterness, chocolate, barley malt, dark fruits - cherries, prunes, figs, dates. Dark, sweet, ashy. Flavorful, but not really doing it for me. Lots of nutty caramel. Gets better as it warms.
M - Feel is thickish & full. Sticky & sweet, with a bit of burnt mustiness. Dry-ish finish. Not particularly drinkable.
Overall, not a particularly interesting example of the style. Would be interested to try more from these guys.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a tulip glass.
Pours a very dark amber bordering on mahogany. Head about one finger of foam. Great retention.
Smell is entirely caramel. Maybe a hint of wood, but very light.
Taste is very heavy on caramel and raisins. Slight hint of plums as well. Very sweet.
Shockingly light on the body. Very little mouthfeel. Almost as if drinking water.
