L: Poured from a 22oz bomber, it's a dark brown with a light brown head that lingers, foam and a film coat the side of the glass, really quite appealing.
S: Cocoa, coffee and heavy roasted malts.
T: All of the above, caramel, molasses and toffee.
F: It's not quite what I'd call "thick'n chewy, but close.
O: Bottle was not dated but it was in the "crawl space", (my cellar) for at least a year. Pretty damn good RIS!

One of the best stand alone imperial stouts I have ever had. A huge roasty taste but yet I was still also able to get the dark fruity malts. Great balance.

Pours dark, but a little thin to me. Smell and taste are similar, chocolate forward. Great mouth feel, very smooth. Overall, a nice effort from Hailstorm. I would look for this again.

Not sure which one this is, but it is the 10.6% bottle. Just says Vlad RIS on it.
Thick and black. Tan head.
This beer reminds me a lot of expedition stout. A nice amount of roast. Rich dark chocolate. Caramel and molasses.
Very well done and very drinkable. I could easily go for more of this.
