22 ounce bottle into a flute glass. Bottled 11/21/16, had 12/3/16.
Pours a mostly opaque dark amber, with a half inch quickly dissipating head and some loose lacing. The smell begins with lots of spices- cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, then pumpkin, malt, light rum, some yeast. The taste leads with rum- strong, but not overwhelming, malt, pumpkin, all the spices, some light chocolate. Smooth, an appropriate level of carbonation, the body holds up well to the barrels, when you consider the style.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure this bottle was sealed well- could spin the cap, but it was waxed. Good flavor and aroma, the rum barrels blend well with the pumpkin. Have one more bottle we'll let age, let's see how it develops.
