Bready... malty... not too sweet.... good solid Helles here... a really well made lager... around 3 months old so it could have been a touch fresher but this is still really good for the style... very enjoyable...

Pours a dark bronze color. Thin sudsy white head dissipates quickly leaving no residual head. Beer is somewhat cloudy.
Aroma has notes of bready malts, crackers, a touch of sweetness, and a touch of herbal hops on the back end.
Taste has notes of bready malts, with some crackery notes as well. Malts give way to a spicy herbal hop note that has some citrus rind notes to it. Bit of a harsh bitterness on the back end that takes on that spicy character from the hops. As the beer warms he bready notes really become more pronounced and quite nice.
Feel is light medium bodied. Mild carbonation. Somewhat harsh finish - would prefer it to be smoother.
Overall this is a really solid American brewed Helles - and one of the better Hailstorm lagers out there. Id gladly grab this one again.

Stumbled on this one at the nearest Binny's, thought I'd give it a try -- not even in the listings on Hailstorm's BA page.
16 ounce can, canned on 2/26/19. Poured into my .5l Becher.
L -- Clear, deep yellow-gold with fast-settling, sudsy white head. Head falls completely flat pretty quickly.
S -- Spicy, herbal hops with a touch of DMS. Lightest of sweetness from malts fighting through.
T -- Good bready to crackery malts up front that fade into a lightly citrus flavor with spicy hops rounding out the finish. The crackery malts make an encore in the aftertaste.
F -- Mouthfeel is soft to lightly crisp with a light-medium body.
O -- Not a bad rendition of a hard-to-duplicate style. I'd like some breadier malt character in the melanoidin range, and that odd citrus character is a little off for the style, but the clean, crackery flavors that make up the backbone of this beer are very appetizing. Need to remember this one for future cravings.
