12oz can dated 12/10/19 and poured into a short stange shows a muddy, orange-tinged, opaque, brown, ever-so briefly floating a 1/8" cap of off-white tiny bubbles, yet leaving infinitesimally small-bubbled lacing that falls back to an edge-hugging ring.
Aroma is an inviting cinnamon, warm breakfast pastry forward deliciousness with a bourbon cream glaze. As it comes to temperature the orange peel notes join in and the flavors match.
Not as velvety as the base barleywine as the cinnamon implies a powdery sense, but still a very pleasant experience evolution in this elixir. No booze warmth, no cinnamon heat, both good qualities as far as I am concerned.
Overall a good aroma addition to the base, but the cinnamon and orange peel, while in no way overpowering, still cover the toffee, butterscotch, and vanilla flavors, for which I prefer the base barleywine.

Poured from a 12oz can, dated Dec 2019, advisory to drink within 12 months. Check.
Pours a muddy, reddish brown, with a thin but ever-present tan head around the rim. No lacing.
Smells like cinnamon. Pastries, baking, but mostly sweet cinnamon buns.
Taste is a blast of cinnamon, underscored by chocolate soda. I might taste orange, but that might be the power of suggestion.
Mouthfeel is fizzy, which is where I might have made the chocolate soda connection. I'm not liking this. Less than halfway through the 12 oz, and I'm pouring it out. Keep in mind, I spent $6 on this can. At the same time I'm happy I didn't buy a $24 four-pack.
