this is one of the most flavorful and delicious wheat beers on the market right now. if this is brewed with lemondrop hops, it has to be the single best expression of them i have ever seen, and i think the wheat base beer here is the perfect take off point for them. if it isnt those hops, whatever they have done to achieve this level of lemon intensity is super smart too, and i like the beer just as much either way, although if i had to life or death it, i would take the former. its only a little hazy. but very robust with the foam and lace, it looks really awesome in the glass. it really is lemon forward, and i have to admit, i havent had enough beer with these hops to have a real fair judicious opinion, but to me, this tastes like lemon candy, and its amazing. it makes me thirst for more just from the smell, and they have done an expert job making it a hoppy beer that very defiantly is not an india pale ale. i like all the hoppy stuff from these guys, hell, i like all their beer, but its refreshing to know they can do a beer like this and nail it down this hard. this is tame for them, but it also incredibly well made, and probably deserves more attention (and tap handles) that it is currently enjoying. wow, i like this an awful lot. on tap at the pint room in littleton, which also deserves more credit...

I asked if they could garnish this beer with a lemon wedge, and they threw me out.
When I came back, I had this beer. 3000 if I'm counting.
Pours darn clean, light golden. Looks great. I would complain, if at all, about the lack of "thick" head, but that's nit-picking.
Aroma is citrus/lemony. Imagine that. It's a bit of a tough call where the aroma originates as I haven't had many beers with the lemondrop hop. How prevalent is the yeast here? I'm guessing it's semi-neutral. Does the wheat malt stand out? Not quite sure...again unfamiliar with this new hop variety.
Flavor is great. Citrus and light. clean. Zesty. The feel is quite hoppy, in my opinion. Kind of like a double-APWA, with a lighter malt bill. 5.6% abv is perfect.
Darn fine beer, again, from Comrade. Not a bad 3000th beer rating/review.
