these guys have the hoppy stuff absolutely dialed, and while this comes across to me a bit more as an american pale ale than as an ipa due to extremely mild bitterness, i really like it a lot, and its another winner in this series. pale in color like most of the rest of them, with a frothing white head with nice lace as i sip it down. really stoked on the aroma, usually beers like this have either that tropical juicy hop thing going, or they have the danky northwestern pine pitch sort of vibe, this one somehow manages to have both, its awesome. there is a decidedly limey property to the hop profile in the taste, its right there in the center and there again at the end, maybe from the galaxy, a little floral too, which serves to sort of lighten up the more intense pine and oily components of this thing. it must be loaded pretty heavy late kettle and dry hopped, because there is so little bitterness here. its even a trace sweet from the malt and from the fruity aspects of the hops. perhaps not their most distinct or remarkable beer overall, but an awfully fresh and delicious brew from one of the best in colorado. on tap at first draft downtown.
