lemondrop and a couple of other interesting new hops make up the exciting elements of this one from what i understand. this is a very very fruity, more citrusy than citra kind of hop complexion, and over a seemingly simple pale malt base, it makes an excellent and intriguing ipa, very refreshing and summery, and one of my favorite beers in this series. the nose has a leafy freshness to it, a hint of sweetness, and then this really intense lemon zesty complexion that totally has me frothing to taste it. more of a generic citrus than a pure lemon in the flavor, also a limey brightness and a tangerine type sweetness, but its all there and it appears to all be from the hops. bitterness is held to a pretty moderate level, which i think lends itself to drinkability. the citrus is strong here, but very natural and pleasing, almost shocking that there isnt any real fruit in here. the beer in this series have been all over the map, but this one is pretty fantastic and has me on the hunt for more beers featuring the lemondrop hop...
