On tap at the brewery on 10/01/16 served in their signature snifter/tulip glass. The abv. is listed as 6.5%.
Look- A dark ruby brown with a thick creamy finger of tan foam that slowly settles leaving heavy lacing.
Smell- Pine, caramel malt, mild perfume and some char.
Taste- Floral up front, followed by pine, dark bread and caramel malt.
Feel- On the oily and creamy side with a slightly bitter and dry finish.
Overall- Very good for the style, but I expected more punch from the wet hops. They seem tame in comparison to the punch they provide in Superdamp. Not sure if it's because of the type of hops, style, or both? Still good and worth a try.
