Presentation: Draft, served in a tulip glass.
Appearance: The half finger head goes away fairly quickly and leaves a lot of lacing in patches, rings and big spots. It's and extremely dark brown, almost black color.
Smell: It has strong, sweet aromas of milk chocolate, Oreos and vanilla.
Taste: There's a lot of sweetness up front with some dark and milk chocolate notes as well as the strong chocolate and cream Oreo taste. It finishes with some some typical bourbon notes of vanilla and cinnamon with a hint of spiciness and a faint alcohol presence. These balance out the sweetness nicely so it doesn't get overwhelming.
Mouthfeel: It's quite thick and oily but not cloying despite the sweetness. The carbonation is medium high.
Overall: The cocoa and Oreos show up in the right amount so it never gets cloying or too sweet. An excellent, balanced and well made beer.
