1st review of this beer on BA. Had this at Comrade in early June 2019.
Pours a light golden yellow color with respectable professional grade clarity and 1/2" white head. Looker. Aroma punched through all those new Strata hop notes (this was a single hop Strata beer IIRC). Strata is one of the weed proprietary hops out there, and it fit the bill here, danky weed notes and grapefruit, its like a hybrid of familiar Cascade and Zeus.
Taste was much the same as the nose, they did a real good job on giving a light, simple malt bill (this may have even been a SMASH beer that wasn't advertised as such), nice locally sourced pale malt here, crisp, light, with a kiss of mild honey. Carbonation on point, everything here was done very nicely. This is one of, if not the best beer at showcasing a new hop, and I really think it should be that way. Don't take a new hop and dummy it up with a bunch of accessories before we get to know that hop. Everything stood out of the way, yet supportive here, and you just ended up getting the wide range of tastes familiar to other hops, but under one roof here. Check it out, I think Strata is gonna be huge. Also, Chips was one of my fave shows as a kid.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
