Deep, dark brown color where light passes through the center easily. Lasting modest head. Excellent lacing.
Grainy with darker toast smells. There's a moderate prefermented maltose nose as well.
Semisweet with a rustic flavor that reminds me of the smell of autumn leaves. Thinner body with an elevated carbonation level. Roasted malt gives this a deeply toasted wheat bread taste. Similar to a Brown Ale, flavor wise. No harsh bitterness anywhere.
