Had on tap. Murky reddish brown pour, faded white bubble cap. Barrel dominate this beer, and given the sherry and cognac sweetness, it is a bit jarring. The wood has that splintered taste to it, harsh and strong. Nose has citrus hops poking through with some english yeast. Taste has a sweet malt, grapefruit, orange, and booze ending, but this is messy. Feel is hot, woody in not a good way, hop bitters get obliterated by sweetness, a feat in its own right, and syrupy body breaks down into boozy heat. This experiment blew up
