Draft at brewery. Pink hues in the body, flat pour. Sweet aroma and taste, only slight earthy beet notes, mild sweetness. Quite a pucker though. Tart and dry.

Crime & Punishment Brewing Co. "Disturbing The Beets"
on tap at the brewery on 21 January 2017
$4 / 8 oz.
Notes: Hazy pinkish ruby body beneath a short head of white with a pinkish cast. The head fades fairly readily and leaves little lacing behind, which is common in sour beers. The aroma is fruity and tangy with a dusty/earthy, and musty funkiness. Light-medium in body with a fine-bubbled effervescence. There's an odd vegetal/earthy taste from the beets and a SweeTarts-like fruitiness. It's tart but not puckeringly acidic, which leaves it refreshing. Very mildly bitter. It finishes tart, fruity, and mineralish. Overall quite nice. The beets give it an interesting note that makes you question it at first, investigate it, and then accept it (or not) as an added nuance. It's unusual, and there's something kind of special about it.
