Double the Buoy, double the fun. Big, balanced, and memorable with punchy grapefruit and ripe, zesty citrus our Double IPA is rounded out with aromatics of floral and pine. This IPA brewed at the shifting sandbars, tidal rips, and unpredictable weather of the mighty Columbia, is the perfect balance of subtle and bold.

Moderately hazy copper look. Smells like tropical fruit to me, but my nose is shot. Tastes... so good. Fairly bitter, resin, pine and a nice malt counter. Very good West Coast IPA flavor profile. More expensive than comparable stovepipe cans, but also better.

12 oz can dated 11/26/24 served in a pint glass. Murky orange with big soda bubbles and only a bit of head. Old school alpha hop bitterness with a double IPA malt backbone. Piney and grapefruity. Totally acceptable but unremarkable.

Pours a nice yellow gold with a minimal head and an aroma of citrus fruit and malt. A little sweetness and a good bitterness from the hops. This beer is easy drinking and goes down fairly smooth, not like an 8.4 ABV. Stove top hat from Safeway. Rated 11-16-2022

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy lace on the glass. It smelled of orange, pineapple, grapefruit and toffee. Sweet tropcial fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Another tall can with the ABV marked boldy at the top: 8.4% ALC/VOL. Pours a clear amber with adequate foam in the Orval chalice. This seems like the classic current fashion for hi-test IPAs in big cans with dank and resiny hops over a sluggish sweet malty base, ending in grapefruit peel. that pretty well covers it. Not as much pleasure as you might hope for, but sippable enough, up to a point about one third of the way down the can. From the 19.2 oz can purchased at the supermarket. Dated 04/04/24.

Decent. Drank with Scott on his first trip. Golden, slightly cloudy, opaque. Piney hops, caramalized malt, slightly sweet with a dry, bitter finish.

Stovepipe can from HomeBrewStuff. Golden pour, light cloudiness, small foamy head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, just as of hops. Taste is sweet, toffee, light astringency from the hops. Malty DIPA.

Look: Clear burnt orange with a frothy head that balloons to the rim and holds well, slowly settling and revealing great lacing left behind
Aroma: Lemon-lime, orange, cantaloupe melon, grapefruit, raspberries, bready malt, wafts of rhubarb, and tangerines
Taste: A duo of citrus fruit and berries (rasp, black) come on strong and meld nicely while a little melon trickles in behind. Bready malt balances the hops well and a little alcohol heat comes through before citrus, melon, and berries return for the close
Mouthfeel: Full, fairly smooth, medium-high carbonation, and medium dryness on the finish
Overall: I dig it. This is a good Double IPA that is well-made, tasty, and semi-old-school in its composition. I like that these folks have jumped on the 19.2oz. can train and this will be a good go-to option for a hop fix and/or big beer in the coming colder months

Clear pale gold with three fingers of white head. Rings of lace appear as the head slowly recedes.
Smell is bready malts with a touch of floral hops.
Taste is fruity citrus hops some melon and plenty of bready malts.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. The finish is mostly balanced but the bitter side wins by a nose.
Overall a big DIPA with an easy drinking character.
