Made from a tri-fecta of German malts, Weyermann Carafa, Munich, and Weyermann Floor Malted Pilsner, this Czech-style dark lager has aromas of hazelnut and coffee with a light spice of vanilla and notes of biscuit with a light body and lingering roast flavors on the finish, drying not sweet.

Pours a clear mahogany brown and sports a light tan head. Beautiful dark lager. The nose has a significant biscuit aroma, some coffee, and a nice nutty aroma.
The taste is led by the nutty flavor, with the roasty coffee in the background, and the delicious biscuity flavor at the back of the palate.
The mouthfeel is clean and crisp, enhancing the drinkability. This is really well done.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Dark brown pour, small but persistent beige head. Aroma is roasty malts, burnt toast. Taste is roasty, dark, cocoa, faint sweetness which tapers off to a light bitterness.

Pours a very dark brown, Coca-Cola colored body with a terrific thick and creamy light tan head.. great looking beer in the mug!
Dark bready tones to the aroma. Like English style malt loaf. But not sweet. Some light chocolate tones also. Light. Nice.
Taste the same and more..has this creamy aftertaste that just makes the beer "pop". Soft brown malt bread, cream and light molasses. Delicious stuff.
Mouth feel is OK but could use a wee bit more carbonation.
A really nice simple beer. Seeing more dark Czech lagers in the PNW and liking it.

Look: Dark brown on the pour and looks black in the glass as a lush, tan head billows up and holds well, slowly puckering away to a pillow and leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Freshly baked brown bread, light caramel notes, some earthiness, toasted bread and cereal grains, and wafts of light chocolate
Taste: Kicks off with a ton of bready malt that tastes like a bakery smells – dough, warm bread, toasted bread, and grains all in the mix to start. Light chocolate and earthiness trickle in and mingle until it closes with more malt
Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean, medium-high carbonation, and a clean and lightly crisp finish
Overall: This is some tasty stuff. I love this rotating lager series and was stoked to try my second ever Czech Dark Lager from a brewery I respect and enjoy. A delicious dark, bready malt-forward lager and one I could easily enjoy year-round. I can see more of these in my future and recommended
