Brewed with Eraclea barley grown near the Adriatic Sea northeast of Venice and a tri-fecta of German hops. Buoy Italian Pilsner has a noticeable malty-sweet aroma with notes of oat & honey and earthy, herbal & spicy hop notes & aromas. 40 IBUs

Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the goblet. Aromatic with green herbs and resin. Light bodied and spritzy on the tongue. Taste is quite bold with resiny Euro hops in the lead. Rather bitter finish. Dry hopped? There is some malty sweetness and a touch of honey flavor. Overall this is clean and straightforward with a big dose of hops. From the 12 oz can purchased at the Washington beer store. No apparent date.

Look: Clear bright yellow on the pour with a lively white head that settles to a lid and leaves good lacing behind

Aroma: Pilsner malt, floral hops, dough, soda crackers, and light honey-like sweetness

Taste: A quick hit of pilsner malt opens the door before floral hops shove it out of the way and storm in, guns a blazin’. Southern magnolia, true jasmine, spirea, and tea olive stand out amongst many and as they subside, some nice dough and crackers come through before a honey-like sweet note and floral hops close it out

Mouthfeel: Light but full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and crisp, clean, and lightly dry on the finish

Overall: I dig it. This is a tasty Italian Pilsner that is not only good but really sets itself apart from these folks’ Czech Pils, which is a good thing, plus I like both. A ton of flowery goodness throughout in this one and in a nice, clean, and crisp Pilsner package. Recommended

On draft at Buoy. Poured a crystal clear, straw yellow color with a small, white head of fluffy foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of caramel, straw, hay and floral notes. Sweet caramel taste with a mild bitterness.

Poured into a weizen glass at fridge temp.

Pours a pure and golden gold with yet again a looser soapy white head, though this one's retention was much better than the last. 4.25

Strong and heavy malts accompanied by some equally strong earthy hops. 4

Herbal, spicy and malty with some light sweet notes, I suspect from honey. 4

Light and crisp body, everything I wanted and nothing I didn't. 3.75

Overall another winner Pils in my opinion that really shined with it's herbal hops, and strong malt. 4

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 12/13/22.

Appearance: pale yellow hue with a very light haze and a thin layer of frothy ivory foam atop. Not too bad.

Smell: lightish, sweetish malt with a bit of graininess and a fair dose of noble hops. It works for me!

Taste: a nice, slightly grainy, slightly sweet malt up front. This tapers off into an almost-sourness; not sure if that's the hops, which are soft and grassy, or some other thing going on. It detracts from an otherwise good flavor.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: I want to like this beer a lot more than I do, but that certain off-flavor just rubs me the wrong way.

Canned 12/13/22, bought at the brewery in Astoria. A clear pale amber with lots of carbonation. Nose is light yeasty bread dough. Taste starts off with a bitterness that's tempered with a clean malt base.
A good example of a light, no adjunct, lager with mild taste and modest ABV.

We are never quite sure where to place Italian lagers in the BA style lists.
