Look: Light copper and slightly opaque with a foamy head that rises and slowly settles to a pillow, leaving webs of lacing clung to the rim

Aroma: Soda crackers, biscuits, floral hop notes, light lemon, wafts of toasted bread, and pilsner malt

Taste: Pilsner malt and soda crackers kick it off and are immediately joined by layers of floral hops that quickly pile on. Hall’s honeysuckle, true jasmine, sweet box, and Oregon grape in play as lemon joins in as well and closes with toast, crackers, lemons, and flowers

Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean and crisp on the finish

Overall: This is some tasty stuff. This is one of the most elusive and seldom-made beer styles in my book so seeing that one of my favorite brewers made one, and it’s part of this series to boot, made the purchase a no-brainer. A delicious and well-made Common Ale that truly blurs the lager/ale line and all the subtle flavors really pop and come together nicely to round out this tasty treat. Definitely worth the buy and recommended

Pours brilliantly clear, darkened pale, white head, average retention.

Nose is pleasantly malty, it reminds me of smelling pale malt pre-brew; some nice hop character, mostly earthy and green, possible some light green grass.

The malt really shines in the taste on this one, like a light multigrain bread, very lightly sweet; lightly toasted, peppery hop bite on the finish.

Light to medium body; clean but full feeling, moderate bitterness, a good drinking beer but just slightly heavier feel than a lager, very present hops; very lightly resiny.
