Look: Bright, slightly cloudy yellow with a booming head that pillows up and holds, slowly relenting and coating the rim with lacing

Aroma: Strawberries, pine, white and pink grapefruit, blueberries, Cara cara orange, kiwi, cantaloupe melon, papaya, and bready malt

Taste: Starts off with a resinous hit of pine that is quickly followed by waves of citrus fruit, starting with grapefruit. Berries, papaya, and melon come next with some kiwi making a cameo at times and closes with pine, grapefruit, and a nice bite

Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, clean, medium-high carbonation, and lightly but noticeably dry on the finish

Overall: This is some good stuff. I like this Tropical IPA because it has good tropical fruit components but also throws in some citrus/pin/berry elements that keep it from being a tropical bomb, which I feel detracts from the feel of the beer as it’s too heavy and/or sweet to me when done like that. Nicely done Buoy and worth checking out

Rated 9-28-2024. This beer pours a darker-golden color with a small to medium head and a tropical fruit aroma leaning more towards citrus. The taste is similar to the aroma, though with a fair amount of carbonation. It is well balanced with a slight sweetness and almost crushable. BOD 8-16-2024.

Pour is clear and crisp. Head is a bit light, as is the lacing. Aroma is distinctly tropical fruit on the first sniff, fades as the head fades away. The hop bitterness is well controlled and very subdued for an IPA in today's world. Lots of malt taste carries the tropical fruit well into the finixh.

A nicely built beer. Just 6.8 ABV.
