Buoy Märzenbier is inspired by Austrian-style lagers, brewed with Salzgitter Pils and Vienna malts, giving it a rich, toasty malt character. Magnum and Perle hops add a subtle bitterness that balances the malt-forward profile, finishing crisp and clean.

Look: Rich amber-brown on the pour with a nice off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer
Aroma: Toasted bread crust, toffee, warm bread, some dough, melanoidin, and light floral hops
Taste: Rich and expansive bready malt kicks this off with layers of freshly baked and toasted bread and crust, along with toffee, light caramel, and dough. Floral notes duck in and out throughout and closes with more bread and toffee
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean, crisp, and smooth on the finish
Overall: I’m really digging this one. I love Marzens and not only is this a tasty one but right away the Vienna malt stood out on the nose and taste, which gave it an almost Vienna/Marzen hybrid feel, which is fine by me. It’s still a Marzen at its heart though and a good one at that. Worth checking out

Rated 10-30-2024. This beer pours a clear orange/amber color with a foamy off-white head that dissipates rather quickly. The aroma is rather neutral with a little malt and grain. The taste is sweet bitterness with some malt flavor. It tastes more like a German beer with a good light body and clean malt taste. This seems a little more hoppy than a German though. Really fresh beer BOD 10-8-2024 26 IBUs

Appearance: This one pours a slightly hazy amber with about a one inch head on top.
Aroma: Nice and malty up front. Faint notes of dark fruit. Floral hop way in the back. And a nice dryness in the nose.
Taste: Molasses, floral hop, twinges of caramel malt. With a solid crispness to round it out.
Overall: Absolutely solid. Very easy to drink anytime of year. Prost.

6-pack of 12 oz cans purchased at West Salem ,Safeway in Oregon.
$12.99
canned 10/07/24
Pours a nice amber honey colour, nice sized frothy white head. great lace,
Aroma is quite subdued. Malty, coffee, light toast. Subtle.
Taste rich toasty maltiness. Light whole wheat toast, dark dried fruit and hazelnuts. Rich and complex but still very easy.
A lovely mouth feel to if. Substantial and not thin but goes down like silk. A very skilled brewer is working here.
A great beer in the old style Oktoberfest mode.
