Look: Looks like black coffee in the glass with a fast-forming beige head that balloons to the rim and settles to a pillow, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Roast, dark chocolate, brewed coffee, roasted tree nuts, freshly baked brown bread, and light earthy notes
Taste: Starts out with a punch of roast and dark chocolate that is almost harsh but doesn’t get there, which is good. Warm brown bread and tree nuts trickle in as the roast/chocolate combo continues and earthiness weaves in and out, only to come on stronger as it closes out
Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, clean, medium-high carbonation, and moderately dry on the finish
Overall: I really like this beer. Having really dug these folks’ Baltic Porter, this was an easy buy for me as it’s my favorite dark ale style and this time of year I consume a lot of them. The chocolate and roast notes scream stout as does the boldness of it all and the robust and dry finish. I already grabbed a second sixer and if this continues as a winter rotator offering in the future, sign me up! Recommended

Caned 1/7/25. Dark brown pour, opaque and dense, fluffy head fades quickly away. Aroma of roast coffee, chocolate and roasted chestnuts. Taste is a dry, mildly bitter beer with good flavors of roasted grains, dark chocolate and coffee. Finish is good and clean with a lingering bitterness. ABV of 6%.
