Review from BeerAdvocate magazine issue #110
(MAR 2016)
Creamy, Sweet, Cacao, Currants
If you are going to brew up a malt-bomb you may as well throw down. Navigation Brewing does just that with their Milk Stout by using eight different malts and then weaving in a dose of lactose sugar. They leave it mildly hopped to simply balance. Fully bodied and silky this beer has lots of grainy layers: chicory, unsweetened chocolate, mild molasses and toasted bread. In short, a proper Milk Stout. [Jason]

Pour a rich black with a medium brown head. The nose is chocolate malt. The taste is a well balanced rich stout with chocolate tones. The palate is full bodied and creany with a slghtly bitter finish. It’s great drinking fresh beer!.

I really enjoyed this milk stout. Nice dark color with a smooth mouthfeel and a rich flavor. This was obviously a milk stout and not a standard stout, which I thought was great!

My only regret was snacking on a few microwave pizza rolls while enjoying this for the 1st time.
A delicious milk stout that pours easy with a wispy tan head sitting it's onyx black body.
