A: Hazy pale orange with very slight carbonation. Slight 1/4 finger of off white head that lasts for a little while leaving lacing for the first few sips and then it disappears quickly.
S: Strong alcohol esters at first letting you know this brew packs a punch. Beyond the esters hints of grapefruit, vanilla, and very minute traces of buttery toasted bread.
T: Sweet vanilla creamy flavor finished by a simultaneous blend of buttery wheat bread mixed with a grapefruit finish that leaves the tangy bitterness in the aftertaste. The grapefruit bitterness lingers for a while. The alcohol esters in the nose are masked well by the sweet vanilla flavor up front.
M: very light carbonation as the brewer intended. They mentioned they wanted to keep this one less carbonated than their other beers to keep the flavor profile intact.
O: My first wheatwine and I found this one spectacular. I enjoyed the sweet vanilla bready flavor and the sweet flavor masking the high alcohol content. I found this beer delightful and would love to pick up more. Well worth it if you get the chance.
