Stopped by Navigation for the first time today with Alewife..... Had a couple of 16oz pours if their RIS, for $6.00 per serving...
Quaffed from a clear, 16oz plastic cup, it was an opaque, deep, dark chestnut-brown color. Head was thin and wispy, with some light tan lacing sticking to the cup. Nose was roasty, with choco notes and some florality. Body was medium-plus, with a smooth, even feel on the tongue.
Flavor followed the nose, with roasty coffee and some dark choco. Also had a bit of espresso, some charred notes and a hint of dark fruit. The roasty, bitter action lingered well, mixing with some more floral, earthy notes in the finish. Solid overall... Prosit!!
